Full Time Human Resources Safety Assistant, La Crosse, WI

Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Human Resources Department is looking for a highly motivated, hard-working, adaptable support coworker to join the HR Safety team.  The responsibilities associated with this position will offer a variety of clerical, administrative, and customer service-related tasks. This candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively, handle confidential matters, manage difficult situations or conflict, while providing great customer service to our coworkers and management team daily.  Flexibility with changing priorities on short notice and willingness to learn about Kwik Trip’s Work Comp, RTW, Retail Helper, and companywide Safety Initiative is necessary. Efficiency and attention to detail are essential for all tasks in this role.  Human Resource experience is preferred.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Safety initiatives providing administrative assistance.
  • Interpret, sort and process doctor notes and restrictions for injuries resulting from a work comp or non-occ injury.
  • Investigate injuries and accidents utilizing camera system daily to pull video for claims and for training purposes.
  • Work with Work Comp and RTW team as needed to learn processes as a back-up support person.
  • Data entry: INFORM Monthly and Quarterly Audit scores.
  • Complete workstation evaluations for campus coworkers.
  • Distribute safety materials as requested by retail stores and ZSWC’s.
  • Send out communications as requested by the Safety Team.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • +1 year in an office/administrative role
  • Proven ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to process, interpret, and communicate (verbal and written) information to coworkers and vendors in a professional manner
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Possess strong time management, organizational, and data entry skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines as needed
  • Ability to support and work well in team-based atmosphere 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, computer, and office equipment is required

 

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours 9am till 5pm

to include holiday coverage when necessary.
