Our Information Technology Department has an opportunity for a Full Time Rapid Application Developer.  This person is responsible for 2nd-level support, rapid development and maintenance of new and existing applications in our application development team, serving both internal and external customers.   

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Rapid analysis, development, testing, and implementation of applications and reports
  • Investigate approved end-user requests and incidents
  • Develop solutions including documented programs, relational databases, and functional user-interfaces
  • Issue analysis, resolution, and support of operational systems
  • Train users in modifications
  • Ensure technical system documentation is current
  • Develop test scripts
  • Build, maintain, and improve continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines
  • Assist in packaging software for effortless deployment across diverse infrastructure
  • Develop process improvements, eliminating bottlenecks by leveraging software tools and process automation
  • Participate in all stages of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

 

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 1-year related experience
  • Programming languages required: RPGLE, CL, SQL
  • Programming languages helpful: HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CSS
  • Knowledge of relational databases (DB2 & SQL)
  • Working knowledge of application architecture and design principles for iSeries, Windows, and web environments
  • Web concepts and terminology experience helpful
  • Ability to use a computer and related software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Knowledge of SAP, ServiceNow, Microsoft SharePoint, Aldon Lifecycle Management and Sequel ViewPoint
  • ServiceNow ITIL/ITSM experience a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work alone or in a group setting

 

Work schedule:  Monday through Friday, daytime hours with occasional evening and weekend work as needed, as well as on call rotation.
