We are looking for a highly motivated and change orientated support co-worker to manage reactive and preventative maintenance tasks within the Truck Shop.  This co-worker will: receive incoming phone calls and direct the call to the appropriate resource; manage equipment PM scheduling and schedule all incoming work with the dispatch office; manage breakdown repairs at outside vendors; communicate workload and priority to the Shift Lead.

 

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage customer requests by determining the most effective means of meeting the customers’ needs and coordinating the appropriate action(s).
  • Prioritization of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Maintain interdepartmental communications to ensure timely staging of equipment for maintenance needs
  • Maintain equipment status’ for assets in Fleet Services
  • Communicate regularly with Leads and Supervisors when changes to the daily workload occur due to outside influences
  • Communicate with Dispatch to validate their equipment needs are met
  • Communicate with outside vendors to monitor repair status’ of subbed and/or warranty work
  • Assist with daily administrative duties in relation to department operating systems

 

Qualifications: 

  • Successful candidates should possess at least 2 years in an administrative / support role or equivalent experience/education
  • Strong interpersonal skills via telephone
  • Ability to remain calm in a stressful work environment
  • Prioritize / manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to process, interpret, and communicate (verbal and written) information to co-workers and customers in a professional manner
  • Accurate / detail oriented
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Work well alone or as part of a team
  • Work well with minimal supervision
  • Possess strong time management / organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong ability to operate a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Possess strong typing and data entry skills and comfort with office equipment is required
  • Knowledge of transportation operations, maintenance, and DOT regulations is a plus
  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record

 

Work Schedule:  We have two open schedules for this position. They are as follows which does include holidays as well:

Schedule 1: Wed - Sat 12PM - 10 PM

Schedule 2: Rotating Tues - Fri 8 PM - 6 AM 

                                   Wed - Sat 8 PM - 6 AM
