Kwik Trip, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Operations Maintenance Manager.  This leader will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Distribution and Production Maintenance Operations, including the refrigeration/ammonia system operations and all aspects of the Process Safety Management program.

 

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and coordinate all activities of strategic planning and continuous improvement in the following areas:
    • Facility Maintenance – all aspects of physical facility, mechanical, electrical, process engineering and maintenance
    • PSM Program  - Oversee the maintenance and organization of the PSM program
  • Champion and lead cross-functional teams working on improvement projects to include project selection, prioritization, management, and execution to sustain process improvement gains
  • Translate strategic planning and design of KPI metrics into potential improvement projects and actionable items
  • Research and recommend best practice in manufacturing technology appropriate to the industry and regulatory environment
  • Assist in long-term capacity master planning, development, and coordination of capital planning and spending
  • Responsible for all technical knowledge management for manufacturing capital equipment and sit facilities
  • Support technical groups to specify, source, and oversee the installation of process equipment for operations groups
  • Represent technical areas for all local, state, and federal regulatory and safety agency visits and audits
  • Collaborate with operations leadership and key stakeholders on field quality issues, including root cause identification and corrective action planning

 

Qualifications:  Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing a maintenance team.  Candidates should have prior experience with a computer based maintenance program as well as hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and advancing equipment in a production environment.

 

Candidates should display knowledge in the following:

  • Industrial electrical controls and wiring to perform trouble shooting
  • All aspects of industrial maintenance such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, boilers, and pneumatics
  • Safety procedures (lock out/tag out)
  • PLC systems
  • Ammonia refrigeration and compressed air systems
  • Understanding and reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • OSHA, PSM and Hazmat regulations

  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Multi-tasking for the purpose of efficiency
  • Skill to analyze breakdowns for troubleshooting the situation in the process of minimizing downtime
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, mentor, and motivate maintenance co-workers
  • Ability to provide co-workers with timely and professional job performance feedback
  • Exercise sound judgment within company guidelines
  • Follow and enforce company policies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in negotiating parts, equipment, and service contracts
  • Experience in food processing, motion control systems, process improvement, and Maximo is a plus
