Kwik Trip Inc.’s Distribution Division Maintenance department is looking for a Full time well-rounded Lead Technician to support the various operations of the warehouse, including the Ice Plant, LP Production, Fuel Island, Tote Operations, Truck Shop, and Distribution equipment. This person will be responsible for performing power equipment and lift truck maintenance, as well as a wide variety of trades including PLC, mechanical, hydraulics, and electrical repairs, installations, and modifications to building and facility equipment. This individual will partner with the DC Maintenance Manager and DC Maintenance Planner to implement preventative maintenance programs and ensure a high level of customer service from the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of maintenance experience – electrical training; welding; industrial maintenance including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing; automation experience with PLCs and VFD motor controls; hydraulics experience
  • 1 or more years of leadership experience is a plus
  • Strong industrial electronic and mechanical background
  • All candidates must be able to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret schematics and manuals
  • Possess good problem-solving skills while maintaining a level poise
  • Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to self-motivate and carry out daily tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, as well as IBM Maximo
  • Ability to support and meet department deadlines
  • Ability to mentor and train others as needed
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

 

Physical requirements: standing for up to 10 hours; lifting to 80 pounds; bending, reaching, and twisting frequently; work in a variety of weather temperatures/conditions.

 

Work Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.
