The Kitchens Director is responsible for the development and execution of strategic plans.  The position oversees the management of overall operations of the facility and overall production policies and procedures.  The position is responsible for ensuring governmental agencies’ food safety and good manufacturing practices are adhered to and ensuring plant safety programs and policy development and compliance are in place and adhered to. 


Regular tasks include:

  • Manage business development and efficiencies
  • Develop department budget and monitor performance to ensure we are in line with budget expectations
  • Develop the vision for the department through strategic planning
  • Drive LEAN initiatives
  • Facilitate meetings to communicate department and company information with the team
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with the production operations team and all other departments within the company
  • Distribute company goals, metrics, and financials to production managers and the entire team
  • Develop and execute the HACCP, SOP, and SSOP programs with the Quality Assurance department
  • Monitor and support the activity associated to State and Federal regulators to ensure we are in compliance

  • Communicate with internal customers to ensure we are effectively managing inventory levels providing overall support of the business
  • Provide the Director of Production Operations results from all assigned tasks


The Director will also be responsible for developing and sustaining strong working relationships with vendors, retail, co-workers, and other Support Center departments.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent food production work experience (5-8 years) in a fast-paced production facility
  • Working knowledge of department financial operation to include budget and operating statement
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills (Effective Communication)
  • Assessment, strategic planning, and implementation experience
  • Knowledge of internal company structure, systems, and services
  • Lead, teach, and persuade others through cooperation and teamwork
  • Ability to provide co-workers with timely and professional job performance feedback
  • Knowledge of industry quality and safety systems, regulations, and practices
  • Follow and enforce company policies
  • Ability to oversee the development and the administration of new or existing policies and procedures relative to people, food, and process
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities
  • Skill in facilitating large group meetings
  • Knowledge of computers and related software: Microsoft Office Products, SharePoint, AS400, SAP, MES, WMS
  • Work in a fast paced, safety conscious environment while remaining calm
  • Ability to prioritize and organize to best meet company objectives and deadlines

Willingness to live within close proximity to La Crosse, WI is necessary. 


Work Schedule:  Typically, Monday through Friday daytime hours, however, includes evenings and weekends as necessary.
