Kwik Trip’s Network Services Department is seeking an Information Security Analyst who will ensure the secure operation of our in-house end-user computer systems, servers, and network connections.

 

In this role you will be responsible to:

  • Analyze and review security logs daily

  • Create and implement email phishing campaigns to educate coworkers

  • Configure and maintain security systems

  • Analyze and interpret ad hoc security scans

  • Identify and escalate potential security risks to the Information Security Engineer for further investigation and remediation

  • Assist in the creation, modification and maintenance of all security policies and procedures

  • Assist in the management of the computer usage monitoring system to monitor and maintain user productivity

  • Assist in security investigations and help to execute preventive measures 

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field and at least one year of related experience.

  • Working knowledge of PCI DSS.

  • Have read and interpreted firewall, network, workstation andserver logs.

  • Have monitored perimeter security devices and have developed and implemented corporate security policies. 

  • Conducted research relating to latest security vulnerabilities. 

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

 

Successful candidates should possess and demonstrate the following:

  • Understanding of security concepts and techniques, methods of intrusion detection and prevention, anti-virus software, BYOD, data encryption and security management tools.

  • Knowledge of email filtering, Internet filtering, end user devices, platform operating systems as well as technical knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.            

  • Familiarity with various security logs including but not limited to; syslogs, Windows event logs, IIS, Application Delivery and intrusion prevention.

  • Strong analytical skills to collect information from reports, records, or other available sources, and interpret this data in order to troubleshoot and solve problems.

  • Skill in reading and interpreting logging information obtained from firewalls, routers, servers, IIS and other various security-based tools.

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.      

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.        

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others.

  • Ability to multitask and perform work in an organized, timely manner while working independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment. 

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to conduct research into security issues and products as required.

 

An understanding or experience working with IOT device security, firewall policies, access control lists and network segmentation will be a plus.

 

Work Schedule:  Monday through Friday, daytime hours with rotating on call responsibilities in a 4-person bi-weekly rotation cycle. Weekend and non-business hours work may be required as needed.
