Kwik Trip’s Data Governance Office (DGO) has a unique opportunity for a full time Data Business Analyst.  In this position you will be responsible for supporting and driving improvements to the established Data Governance Program.  Additionally, you will assist with expansion of the program with new initiatives including growing business capability and ramp-up of future data domains.  You will work with our data stewardship team across the enterprise to drive continuous improvement to our data.  You will be responsible for business, data, and information analytics which will shape the future of the company. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Accelerating Kwik Trip’s strategic growth by ensuring world-class enterprise data
  • Develop new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems
  • Provide exceptional service to internal customers
  • Serve as Business subject matter expert on Data Governance related projects
  • Identify and document business needs, processes, and data gaps
  • Translate complex technical requirements into concise and useable formats, templates, and communications for various DGO led & supported projects
  • Documentation of data history, data glossary and metadata for Master Data projects
  • Retrieve and analyze data from various company software systems to create/support new data standards and cleanses needed for Master Data projects
  • Collaborate with data stewards & DGO team to identify, draft, and execute new data standard needs, maintenance, and change control
  • Data Visualization: Create complex visuals and reporting, delivering insights for business users and leadership
  • Various other tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required in data analysis and/or data reporting
  • Work extremely well with others to build and leverage diverse relationships to work towards a common goal
  • Strong ability to analyze data, along with presenting the data in an easy to understand and meaningful way
  • Experience/knowledge with POS, ERP (SAP), GS1, 1WorldSync, and any workflow related solutions desirable  
  • Detail oriented, strategic thinking, organization skills, and a drive for quality and accuracy of results
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Proven track record with analytics, design, and project management; with specific experience implementing technology solutions either as a functional or project lead is preferred
  • Knowledge of master data and data quality best practices is a plus

 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to facilitate discussions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel (including analysis formulas), Outlook, SharePoint & OneDrive
  • Experience with reporting, data relationships, and system integrations preferred

 

 

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours; weekends as needed.
