Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Information Technology Department is seeking a full-time BI Reporting Developer, to provide support and administration of our Business Intelligence and Reporting platform(s), assisting in the design, development and support of the Data warehouse reports using (SQL, SSRS, Power BI).  In this role you will be involved with:

 

  • Gathering requirements for new and existing reports
  • Supporting existing report changes
  • Building and administering ETL packages to pull data from source systems using (SSIS)
  • Designing Cubes from new and existing data
  • Building and administering reports using (SQL, SSRS, Power BI)
  • Administering the reporting platform(s) to ensure optimal performance, correct user permissions and that patches and upgrades are current
  • Monitoring systems & modify analytics accuracy as business needs change

 

Qualifications:  Associates degree or equivalent from a two year college, as well as three or more years’ experience as a business or IT software developer.

 

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Tools MSSQL, Power BI Report Server (SSRS), SSAS, SSIS, Power BI Desktop.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and PowerShell. 
  • Presentation software experience; Power BI (preferred) or other software such as MicroStrategy or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of dimensional data modeling and data warehouse architecture.
  • Knowledge of ETL development and data manipulation, best practices/Strong SSIS skills.
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management concepts.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, Power BI Preferred or MicroStrategy.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and analyze business opportunities.
  • Skill in interviewing customers for insight on functionality, interfaces, and/or usability.
  • Skilled in personal task and time management.
  • Ability to work closely and understand a variety of business units and to gather relevant information to improve insights to make better decisions.
  • Ability to mentor and coach non-technical users to build and use BI reporting and tools.
  • Ability to provide recommendations to business units on how BI could be used to further their business unit objectives.
  • Fully capable of using analysis tools and software.

 

Work Schedule:  Monday through Friday, daytime hours, or as needed to perform duties
