A summary of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Benefit Focus Systems Support
    • Participate in weekly calls with Benefit Focus (benefit enrollment system)
    • Ensure benefit enrollment system complies with insurance contracts and self-insured plan documents
    • Ensure benefit enrollment, life events and other coworker processes are easy to complete
    • Assist with Full and Part-Time Open Enrollment and Wellness system testing and other system testing changes
    • Lead open enrollment project
    • Ensure Data in Benefit Focus is accurate
      • Auditing Benefit Focus vs. Career Central (CC) data, monitoring Retail/SC transfer
      • Auditing Benefit Focus of Date of Hire Changes, Employee terminations, SSN updates, New Locations
    • Participate in vendor webinars and provide recommendations to team
  • ECP Benefits technical support
    • Support pack testing
    • ECP Payroll Control Center lead for Benefits team
      • Review and complete all PCCs
      • Address PCC alerts for health plan > $500
      • HSA/401k max contribution monitoring
    • Assist with auditing of deductions loaded into ECP from Benefits Enrollment system
    • Loading and auditing payroll and vendor file (INT49 for Shoes/Uniforms)
    • Monitoring Retail – Support Center transfers
  • Miscellaneous other benefit related items/projects



  • Educational background normally attained through the completion of an Associate’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or commensurate experience
  • Minimum of 2 years general Human Resource experience.  However, benefits experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, IRC, federal and state laws, and other benefits compliance issues is preferred 
  • General understanding of sftp and how data imports/exports work.  General understanding of .csv, .txt and other data file layouts to assist with troubleshooting
  • Strong time management, judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including filtering, pivot tables, vlookup, text to columns functionality, mail merge, formulas etc
  • High customer service standards
  • Detail oriented, ability to work with multiple deadlines and projects
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively
  • Experience with handling highly sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed to troubleshoot system issues to meet payroll deadlines


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday Daytime Hours, Weekends and some overnights as needed.
